DTC Family Spotlight | Meet Mike Schepers

At DTC, our team isn’t just a group of employees; it’s a family. For a glimpse of the people behind the business, we are shining a spotlight on our new COO, Michael Schepers. Mike is a local who has lived in Maryland all his life. Growing up with a genuine curiosity about how computers work, he took that childhood curiosity and made it his profession, graduating from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a degree in Computer Science. With over 36 years in the IT industry, DTC has gained a valuable resource for continued education and implementing practices to help our workflow run more smoothly.

When he’s not helping DTC shoot for the moon, Mike spends his time with his family, playing with his two cats and a dog, and teaching martial arts. We could not be happier to have Mike join the family and are excited for what’s to come.

Below we asked Mike to share some insight into his time so far at DTC, what he learned, and what’s in store for the future:

“Why DTC?”

There are a lot of things that went into my decision to join the DTC team, but I think the biggest things that attracted me are the culture, the investments, and the reputation. I have known our CEO Steve for a little over 20 years and I know the effort and importance he has placed on cultivating a positive culture within DTC.

This is incredibly meaningful to me. I have also been a casual outside witness to the investments that have been made with respect to both technologies and people. This too is incredibly meaningful to me. Finally, I did not need to look hard to determine that DTC is a company that stands behind and stands with its customers and is committed to customer success and doing the right thing… need I say more.

“How have the past few months been?”

The last few months have been a bit overwhelming at times, but also very exciting. I am always energized by the opportunity to learn new things, and also with learning how to do

old things differently. Every team member within DTC has been extremely helpful, patient, and welcoming with all my questions and have been very willing to share to help me build my understanding of the company as well as the MSP industry.

“What do you see for the Future of DTC?”

I see continued growth for the future of DTC; and growth can and will come in many forms. DTC will continue to provide excellent service to our customers, but I am a firm believer that excellence is a pursuit or journey and not a destination, so there is always more to come.

DTC will continue to expand within our current customer base but also into other markets where we can add value through our technical expertise and experience, and commitment to excellent customer service. In addition, I see DTC continuing to grow internally with respect to team size, team capabilities, and team culture.
